Uralkali’s products comply with the best international quality standards. The Company places particular emphasis on improving the quality of its products exercising strict all-round control over the technical and production processes.

• Uralkali’s quality management system complies with the international standard ISO 9001. Uralkali’s mines operate laboratories for the Directorate for Research and Product Quality Control. They are accredited by the Russian State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Certification. The Quality Control Department analyses the entire production process: from the incoming inspection of reagents, raw materials, and supplies — to the quality control of products dispatched to customers. Analytical results are promptly transmitted to the concentration plants and provide information, where necessary, for process correction. The research laboratories closely cooperate with many universities and institutes based in Saint Petersburg and Perm, where they develop new measurement and geological monitoring sample analysis methods, test new reagents, and carry out tests of new production procedures and equipment at concentration plants.
• Moreover the Company’s environment management system is certified with the international standard ISO 14000 which confirms that the production process is in line with the international ecological norms and does not have negative impact on the environment.
