Results of Uralkali Health Campaign for Employees' Children in Summer 2007.
During June-August 2007, 815 children (vs 739 children in June-August 2006), aged 6 and a half to 15 years old, of Uralkali employees had a rest in a children's health center based at the "Uralskoye Razdolye", a suburban rest home for the Company's employees. The greater part of the financing was provided by Uralkali. A 21-day holiday package for one child cost for parents only 500 rubles.
As the Company's sanatorium, where the traditional "Mother and Child" holidays take place, is under renovation, this year's holidays were arranged for parents and children in one of the buildings of the "Uralskoye Razdolye" recreation centre. Required treatment was provided in the centre's medical center, supplied with adequate equipment and medications.
This summer, like in previous years, Uralkali arranged holidays for 50 children at the Ust-Kachka health resort, Perm Region.
For three years running, Uralkali has made holidays by the Black Sea available to children of its employees. This year, children were provided with 190 preferential vouchers for holidays at the "Morskaya Skazka" rest home, one of the best in the area. While the full cost of one holiday voucher exceeds 20,000 rubles, the contribution that Uralkali parents were supposed to make was 3,600 rubles.
For its 2007 Health Campaign, the Company allocated more than 29.7 million rubles (vs 16.2 million rubles in 2006).
Sergey Dyakov, Uralkali Deputy Director General:
"At present, we fully satisfy our employees' needs for their children's holiday arrangements. The "Mother and Child" holiday program is perfect for young parents, as it is meant for children from the age of 4. Children of more senior age groups enjoy their holidays at the summer camp based in the "Uralskoye Razdolye" rest home, which is annually recognized as one of the best not only in our town but also in the region for its equipment and education level. Teenagers aged 14 and over have an opportunity for having a rest by the Black Sea. Uralkali employees buy vouchers for their children at preferential prices, with the greater part of costs covered by the company. Arranging holidays for children is one of the top priorities of the Uralkali Social Policy, whose efforts are planned to be further improved."
