As Berezniki’s largest employer and taxpayer, we make a significant contribution to the city’s wellbeing. Uralkali regularly organises leisure and recreational activities for its employees and their families. We are committed to improving veterans’ benefits and pensions, and are establishing modern health facilities. We are also developing projects that will foster historical and cultural awareness.
The Uralkali story is closely connected to the history of Berezniki. The city is the second largest town in the Perm territory, with a population of 170,000. Its foundations were laid by the industrial development of the Verkhnekamskoye potassium and magnesium salt field in the early 1930s. Today, the life of one in four citizens of Berezniki is, in one way or another, related to Uralkali.
We are therefore keen supporters of all civil and official initiatives that contribute to the improvement of living conditions in Berezniki. Thanks to the joint efforts of our company, and the city’s citizens and authorities, we have enacted positive change for the benefit of all.
Projects include:
Road repair and urban infrastructure development;
Equipment renovation at healthcare facilities and educational institutions;
Organisation of charitable acts for veterans and senior citizens;
Organisation of holidays, festivals, sporting and youth events in the town;
Restoration of cultural, historic and spiritual heritage sites;
Increasing safety on our streets and tackling street crime.
