Uralkali is one of Russia’s largest industrial enterprises and plays an important role in the domestic and global economy. We believe our social responsibilities should therefore extend beyond our city of origin. We consider it especially important to take part in key charitable activities and sponsorship projects at regional and national level. Often these are aimed at restoring unique historic and architectural landmarks of Russia, preserving culture, and supporting national education and art.

Two examples of such work include:

Oranienbaum Palace and Park Ensemble, a unique Russian landmark built in the 18th century. In 2004, the Oranienbaum Foundation was established under the auspices of the Government of the Russian Federation and Saint Petersburg Administration. Its purpose is the full restoration of the monument.

St. Nicholas Monastery on White Mount (Ural Athon), a relic of the Russian Orthodox Church and an outstanding architectural masterpiece of the 19th century. It is the third largest Orthodox church in Russia, after the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow and Saint Isaac's Cathedral in Saint Petersburg. White Mount Charitable Trust was established to provide for the upkeep of Ural Athon.
