Uralkali’s Quality and Environmental Management System Recertified Uralkali’s Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS) has been recertified by the relevant auditing body, the Russian Scientific Research Institute for Certification (VNIIS). The certification commission of the VNIIS found Uralkali’s QEMS, as applied to the manufacture of products, to be in compliance with standards GOST R ISO 9001–2008 (ISO 9001:2008) and GOST R ISO 14001–2007 (ISO 14001:2004). Uralkali Announces 2009 Production Results Uralkali (Berezniki, Perm Territory) announces its production results for the 12 months of 2009. In 2009 the company produced about 2.621 million tonnes of potassium chloride, a 45.3% reduction compared with 2008 output of about 4.793 million tonnes.
