On 4 September 2014, the Azimut Moscow Olympic conference hall hosted the “Black Sea Grain and Oil Seeds 2014/15” XX international conference and the 2nd Grain Dinner for industry experts. The event was held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. This year, the conference commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Russian Grain Union, which together with the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies organised the event. Uralkali supported the project as its partner. More than 250 representatives from 17 countries, including Russia, USA, Great Britain, France, India, Singapore and Malaysia took part in the conference.

The main issues discussed at the conference included the global diversification of the food product market, conditions and the prospects for grain market development in Russia and abroad. Andrey Volkov, Deputy Minister for Agriculture in Russia, participated in the event and spoke about the problems of government regulation in the grain industry and outlined the Ministry’s plans for the coming season.

In the evening, a Grain Dinner was organised for the conference participants. Representatives from Russian and foreign grain companies, sector ministries and government agencies, leading grain producers, logistics companies, banks, investment and insurance companies, and industry associations were also invited.

Event participants received mementos from the organisers and Uralkali as the conference partner
