Uralkali (LSE: URKA; the Company), one of the world’s leading potash producers, further to its announcement of 22 November 2013, announces that on 10 December 2013 the court decided to change the detention of Vladislav Baumgertner to house arrest.

The Company welcomes the change of detention measures in regards to Mr. Baumgertner. The Company is not aware of any information that would change its position in respect of the CEO. The Company and the Board continue to actively monitor developments and will take such actions as are appropriate and necessary in the best interests of the Company and its shareholders.

Uralkali (www.uralkali.com/) is one of the world’s largest potash producers with a share of about 20% in global potash production. The Company’s assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore-treatment mills situated in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Region, Russia).
