Paul James Ostling

Paul James Ostling has been on Uralkalis Board of Directors since June 2011.

Mr. Ostling was born in 1948. In 1973 he received a Law Degree from Fordham University School of Law.

From 1977 to 2007 Paul Ostling was a member of the Global Executive Council at Ernst & Young Global; from 1995 to 2002 he served as a Global Executive Partner and from 2003 to 2007 as the Global Chief Operating Officer at Ernst & Young.

Between 2007 and 2013 Mr. Ostling served on boards of directors of a number of companies and organizations including JSC PromSvyaz Bank, Uralchem Holding Plc, JSC Mobile TeleSystems, DME Ltd (Domodedovo).

Currently, Paul Ostling is a member of the Business Council for International Understanding, a US-based business association promoting dialogue between the business and the government, and is also the President and a member of the Boy Scouts of America Transatlantic Council.

From 2012 to November 2016 Paul Ostling sat on the board of Brunswick Rail Limited, where from September 2015 to November 2016 he was the General Director.

In 2016-2017 Chairman of the Board of Directors of JKX Oil&Gas.

Since 2016  member of the Board of Directors and Chairmanof the Audit Committee of NPO JSC National Settlement Depositary.

Smoking in mines is prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods (materials and/or equipment), crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
