Uralkali is one of the leading global producers of potash, which is an essential component for the development of all living organisms.
The Company accounts for a significant share of global potash production and controls its entire supply chain, from potash ore mining to the delivery of potassium chloride to customers.

  • The Compamy employs about 12,700 people in its main production unit while the Uralkali Group employs more than 20,000 people.

  • The Company’s production facilities (five mines, six potash ore-treatment plants and one carnallite ore-treatment plant) are located in the cities of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Region, Russia) at the Verkhnekamskoye potassium and magnesium salt field, the world’s second largest deposit in terms of ore reserves.
  • The Company’s production volume in 2020 was 11.3 million tonnes of KCl.

  • The Company’s ore reserves total approximately 8.2 billion tonnes.*
  • Uralkali holds the development licensces for the Ust-Yayvinsky and Polovodovsky blocks at the Verkhnekamskoye field, which contain ore reserves of 1.291 and 3.074 billion tonnes respectively.
  • Uralkali holds the development licence for the Romanovsky block of the Verkhnekamskoye deposit with the estimated reserves of 385 million tonnes of sylvinite ore.**

Uralkali is focused on building strong relationships with its customers in more than 70 countries worldwide.

  • Key markets are Brazil, India, China, Southeast Asia, Russia, the US, the EU.
  • Uralkali sells products in export markets through its own subsidiaries — Uralkali Trading SIA and United Fertilizers Company Limited.
  • The Company has a representative office in Moscow.
  • The Company owns the Baltic Bulk Terminal (St. Petersburg, Russia) and its own fleet of specialized railcars.
  • In 2020, the Company’s sales totalled 12.7 million tonnes of KCl.

Smoking in mines is prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods (materials and/or equipment), crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
