The best students from Berezniki and Solikamsk technical colleges received Uralkali scholarships

Uralkali awards scholarships every six months to the students from Berezniki Polytechnic College and the students from Solikamsk Mining and Chemical College who have achieved the highest results in their studies and have successfully completed professional training.

A ceremony to present the scholarship certificates took place on 27th September at Berezniki Polytechnic College. The recipients of scholarships were ten of the college’s students in the second to fourth grades from the courses “Industrial chemistry of inorganic substances”, “Assembly, alignment and operation of electrical equipment of industrial and civic buildings”, and “Technical operation and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment in the mining industry”.

A ceremony took place at Solikamsk Mining and Chemical College on 28th September. Recipients of the certificates were ten fourth grade students from the courses “Underground mining of mineral resources”, “Mine surveying”, and “Automation of technological processes and production”.

Evgeniy Zybin, Head of Production at Uralkali, commented:

In order to successfully implement our large-scale projects aimed at increasing the production capacity of the Company’s units, we need to not only invest substantial funds, but to also attract highly-qualified specialists. Smoking in mines is prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods (materials and/or equipment), crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
