Uralkali awards scholarships to PNRPU BB students

Uralkali has awarded scholarship certificates to the five best students at the Berezniki branch of Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU BB) following the results of the first semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. The ceremony to hand out the certificates was held at the plenary session of the 3rd All-Russian “Youth Science in Regional Development” conference.

The students have all previously received a scholarship from Uralkali. For example, Andrey Zamyatin, a graduate of PNRPU BB, has received a scholarship for the sixth time.

Natalia Volvach, the Head of Uralkali’s Personnel and Recruitment Department, commented:

Those who have already received an Uralkali scholarship keep striving to be the best in their studies as well as in scientific activities. Each student has a chance to win an Uralkali scholarship and, in the future, to possibly become a member of the professional Uralkali team. The company seeks to employ young, well-trained and ambitious professionals.

Scholarship students Andrey Zamyatin, Olga Alekseeva, Natalia Verstina and Ksenia Krutikova specialise in chemical technology of inorganic substances, while Aleksey Paderin focuses on machinery and equipment of chemical production. All have an average score of between 4.8 and 5, are authors of scientific publications, and participate in science conferences.

Some scholarship students completed an internship at Uralkali. Ksenia Krutikova gained practical experience by working at the Berezniki-4 processing plant. She said: “I really loved the factory. I worked in the refining department. The work was very interesting and they have a great team. After graduation, I would like to work for Uralkali. It is a large company with growth perspectives; it gives graduates the chance to develop professionally.”

Information

PNRPU signed a cooperation agreement with Uralkali in 2006. Uralkali sponsors the education of more than 200 students, the majority of whom study at PNRPU and PNRPU BB. The current amount of each scholarship is RUB 2,500 per month.
