Uralkali awarded scholarships to the best PNRPU students

Uralkali awarded certificates for individual scholarships to ten best students of Perm National Research Polytechnic University.

The award ceremony was attended by the head of recruitment and staff development Natalia Volvach, provost for academic affairs of PNRPU Nikolay Shevelev and director of the Potash Institute Vladimir Asanov.

Uralkali’s individual scholarship is a prestigious award,” said Vladimir Asanov. “It could be deserved only by some of the best students. These students will have an advantage when applying for a job in Uralkali.

Head of recruitment and staff development of Uralkali Natalia Volvach spoke about the company's prospects, its development strategy, social and corporate programs. Uralkali employs many PNRPU graduates, and Natalia Volvach stressed that everyone has the opportunity for career growth.

Senior students who received certificates for individual scholarships are trained in “Physical processes of mining or oil and gas production,” “Mining machinery and equipment”, “Mine Surveying”, “Mining”, “Chemical technology of inorganic substances”, “Machinery and equipment of chemical plants. “ Individual scholarships have been granted since 2007 as part of a cooperation agreement with PNRPU and its Solikamsk branch. Today its amount is 2500 rubles a month. The scholarship is awarded based on the results of each semester twice a year.

I’m glad that my efforts have been noticed, and I am among the scholars,” says the 4th year student Daria Obgorelova. “I've been doing research work related to potash fertilizers. The following year I’m graduating and I’m considering options of where to work. One of them is Uralkali.”

Smoking in mines is prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods (materials and/or equipment), crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
