School children visited Uralkali museum in Berezniki

Students of high school No. 10 in Berezniki visited Uralkali museum in Berezniki where a new exhibition was opened in March this year.

The head of the museum and exhibition center Yulia Denisova told the visitors about the opening of Verkhnekamskoye potash deposit, the history of production, pioneers and contemporary miners and technologists. At the end of the tour the students were shown a science-fiction film on the future of the potash industry.

Andrey Shein, student of the school No. 10, Berezniki:

I have been to many cities and have seen various museums, but I am really impressed with Uralkali museum. Touch screens, models of mining equipment, theromorph, collection of minerals… everything is very impressive.

The tour was organized as part of a special program for youth aimed at raising awareness among young people about the company and at their career guidance. Uralkali together with the school administration also organizes tours for high school students to mining departments. A group from the school No. 10 has already visited the mining department Solikamsk-3 where the children were told about work of mining, surveying, geological departments, laboratory of the department of analytical studies as well as about the activities of R&D department.

Andrey Gyuttuev, teacher of the school No. 10, Berezniki:

Studying in our school is characterized by the emphasis on career guidance. High school students should be able to choose their future career path. And these trips are part of educational activities for the children. That's right, in my opinion, that Uralkali works with high school students because with a clear idea about the company it will be easier for them to choose their future profession.

Detailed information about programs for school children and students is available at Uralkali website in the Career section.
