Solikamsk-3 celebrated the 30th anniversary

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Mine Group Solikamsk-3 there was a series of events that culminated in the solemn evening “History in Detail” during which the first persons of the Company and the subsidiary, as well as special guests congratulated the team on the anniversary.

At the gala evening Boris Panteleev, Director of the Mine Group Solikamsk-3, congratulated the veterans, the best employees and executives who headed the Mine Group in different years. He noted that although today the Mine Group with a capacity of more than 11 million tons of ore and over 2.5 million tons of finished products is one of the leading manufacturing units of the Company, the mine is working on the expansion of production that will allow achieving even greater results.

After the official speech Boris Panteleev and production director of Uralkali Boris Serebrennikov presented letters of gratitude and certificates of appreciation to veterans and the best employees. Valery Skryabin who headed the Mine Group from 1989 to 2009 joined the congratulations.

The authorities also congratulated the team on the significant date. The guest of honor, Chairman of the Government of the Perm region Gennady Tushnolobov who headed the company in 1980’s granted a letter of gratitude to the team of the Mine Group from the regional government. The head of the Solikamsk district Igor Morev handed over to the team a certificate of appreciation for its contribution to the development of the potash industry.

Solikamsk-3 chronicles: origins of production

1958 - the first detailed geological exploration of Novosolikamsk area of Verkhnekamsk potash-magnesium salts deposit for the construction of a new plant.
1968 - a construction site was chosen.
1976- the construction site of Novosolikamsk plant is declared All-Union Komsomol priority construction.
June 14, 1983 - Boris Golubev’s team mined the first tons of ore.
June 24, 1983 - the gangs of Vladimir Avdyukov and Sergei Yakushev produced the first tons of potash chloride. This date was the starting point in the history of the Mine Group development.

Cardinal rules

Smoking in mines is prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods (materials and/or equipment), crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
