The health and recreation resort of Uralkali has received new medical equipment

Concern about the health of employees is an integral part of social policy of the Company. As part of the prevention and treatment activities Uralkali regularly invests in technical equipment of health and recreation resorts located near Berezniki and Solikamsk

In October 2013 the Berezniki resort received new equipment worth about 1 million rubles. The following equipment was added to its inventory:

  • pressure therapy device which allows to treat venous edema, varicose veins, cellulite and obesity using lymphatic drainage massage;
  • device for intratissual electric stimulation using the method of Academician Gerasimov, allowing treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system by stimulating the affected areas of the spine with currents of a certain frequency;
  • device for the treatment of sexual dysfunctions in men and women.

The range of procedures has also been expanded. The visitors of the resort can now use such treatment options as acupuncture and hirudotherapy.

Workers’ health is directly related to the labor quality. As a socially responsible company Uralkali cares about the health of its employees, giving them the possibility of health resort treatment. Health and recreation resorts are also popular with the residents of the Kama region and other regions of Russia.

Health resorts of the Company meet the standards of health resort treatment and help successfully cope with diseases of the cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, respiratory apparatus and nervous system.

All employees of the Uralkali Group have the opportunity to get a health resort voucher at any time of the year at a discounted price. During the summer the employees can take a holiday with their children. Depending on the size of the salary, each employee pays from 10 to 50 percent of the voucher price.

Every year the health and recreation resorts receive over 1,300 employees of Uralkali , about 200 employees of its subsidiaries and about 400 veterans. In 2013 the resorts of the Perm region received 230 vacationers.

Cardinal rules

Smoking in mines is prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods (materials and/or equipment), crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
