Uralkali Board Decisions

Uralkali (LSE: URKA; the Company), one of the world’s largest potash producers, announces that, following a meeting held on 26 March 2014, its Board of Directors made the following decisions:

  • to elect independent director Sergey Chemezov as Chairman and Sir Robert Margetts and Dmitry Mazepin as Deputy Chairmen of the Board
  • to form the Board Committees
  • to appoint independent directors as the heads of the Committees (for more details on the Board Committees please visit the Companys website http://www.uralkali.com/about/corporate_governance/board_committees/ )
  • to approve the following composition of the Management Board:
    • Dmitry Osipov
    • Viktor Belyakov
    • Nadezhda Kiryanova
    • Yevgeny Kotlyar
    • Oleg Petrov
    • Elena Samsonova
    • Stanislav Seleznev
    • Boris Serebrennikov
    • Marina Shvetsova

Sergey Chemezov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralkali commented:

Uralkali (www.uralkali.com) is one of the worlds largest potash producers with a share of about 20% in global potash production. The Companys assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore-treatment mills situated in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Region, Russia). Uralkali employs ca.11,800 people (in the main production unit). Uralkalis shares and GDRs are traded on the Moscow Exchange and LSE, respectively.
