Uralkali Creates Winter Wonderland in Solikamsk and Berezniki

Ahead of the New Year holidays, Uralkali has given its own present to the inhabitants of Solikamsk and Berezniki by funding the construction of an ice rink and a winter wonderland. In addition, Uralkali has also purchased New Year gifts for orphans. Uralkali’s expenditure for the winter constructions and gifts amounted to RUB 4 million.

The winter wonderland in the centre of Solikamsk was constructed one week before the New Year holidays. There are fairytale sculptures and a fast ice slide around the Christmas tree, while the whole complex is lit by colourful fairy lights. Skating fans can skate at the ice rink on Voskresenskaya Square.

Evgeniya Nasekina, Deputy Major of Solikamsk commented:

Each year, Uralkali invests in the development of our town and supports social projects. The company has financed the construction of the winter wonderland for several years now, and we are very grateful.

There are also plans to open an ice rink at the Novozhilovo ski centre located outside Berezniki. Thanks to Uralkali’s assistance, children and adults will be able to enjoy active leisure activities. Skate rental will be also available.

Children from the Rehabilitation Centre for Children and Young People received gifts from Uralkali. Sweets and board games were a New Year’s surprise for the children. Sweet gifts were also delivered to orphans from the Solikamsk orphanage.

Andrey Musikhin, Head of Government Relations at Uralkali, remarked:

Uralkali has traditionally provided support to the town administration in tackling local issues. We wanted to create the holiday spirit for both children and adults ahead of the New Year holidays. We are confident that the ice rinks and winter wonderland will be the perfect place for the families of Berezniki and Solikamsk to spend time, particularly during the holidays.
