
Uralkali has allocated RUB1.5 million for the development of a restoration plan for the unique historical Usolye Stroganovskoye architectural complex (Perm Region, Russia) dating back as far as the 17th and 19th centuries. Specialists from the architecture and urban development departments of Perm National Research Polytechnic University have been working alongside the project office in Usolye Stroganovskoye on the restoration plan.
The museum complex will be developed in several stages:
The first stage will involve the reconstruction of the power and water supply networks, development of gas networks and fortification of river banks. Development of the central ground is also planned, as well as the creation of a network of pedestrian and cycle paths, general recreation and event areas, and scenic viewpoints.
Landscape gardening is the key element of the second stage of the Usolye Stroganovskoye development plan. The plan sees the creation of green spaces near the Manor House, as well as the planting of a birch forest, building a Swamp park and creating an Apothecary garden. The gardening plan involves planting of fauna that traditionally grows in river-adjacent areas, which will help to preserve the natural landscape in the area.
The third stage includes the plan to build a visitor village, an artisanal village, a musical residence that will host mass events and concerts, as well as several research and educational centers.
