Uralkali was awarded three diplomas for active support of the Invalids' Society of Berezniki

24.11.2003
Aiding the handicapped people living in Berezniki traditionally remains one of the lines of Uralkali's charity activity. In 2003, 78 thousand rubles was allocated by the company for these purposes. In addition to this, Uralkali donated to the Social-Recreational Center of the Society of the Deaf the necessary office equipment and a free annual subscription to the newspaper Sol zemli (Salt of the Earth). The Invalids' Society of the city also receives 95 copies of this newspaper every week.

This year, Uralkali has twice acted as a sponsor of the Berezniki teams participating in the regional sports festival of the invalids. It allocated 32 thousand rubles for buying new sports uniform for young handicapped athletes and 35 thousand rubles for the adult team which won eleven medals at the competition.

Uralkali has transferred 11 thousand rubles to the Berezniki Rehabilitation Center for People with Impaired Eyesight for holding a series of events within the framework of the World Year of Invalids.

At a gala event which was held at the Berezniki Business and Cultural Center on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Invalids' Society of the city Uralkali received three Honorary Diplomas. The diploma of the Perm Regional Public Organization of Invalids - for understanding of the problems of the invalids and the financial support of the activity of the Berezniki organization - was awarded to Maxim Shirokov, General Director of Uralkali. The diplomas of the Berezniki society were awarded to Vladimir Konovalov, Director of the First Ore Administration, and Natalya Verbitskaya, editor of the newspaper Sol Zemli.
