Uralkali Takes Part in BB PNRPU Open Day

Uralkali took part in an Open Day at the Berezniki Branch of Perm National Research Polytechnic University (BB PNRPU). The Open Day provided students in senior and graduate classes with the opportunity to meet university professors and representatives from the town’s leading companies.

Natalia Volvach, Uralkali’s Head of Recruitment and Staff Development, talked about the specifics of working for the Company, the global leader in the potash industry. The students learned how Uralkali focuses its efforts on remaining the best employer in Verkhnekamye, and offers its employees an industry-leading salary among businesses in the region. Uralkali provides young and ambitious employees with the opportunity to realise their potential, and to pursue personal development and career growth. In this respect, collaboration with universities is of great importance to the Company.

The Berezniki Branch of PNRPU has been a strategic partner of Uralkali for several years in training potash industry experts.

The best high school graduates can become Uralkali targeted students. They have the opportunity to take part in a programme, which allows them to obtain higher education, on-the-job training and guaranteed employment at the Company in their field of study. In addition, Uralkali awards the best students of Perm National Research Polytechnic University and its Berezniki Branch with individual scholarships. Each year, the Company holds a potash industry term paper and graduation thesis competition called “Verkhnekamsk Kali”.

Jana Brandesova, a graduate of School No.14, commented:

I really like chemistry. I really do not want to leave Berezniki after graduation. An old proverb ‘East or west, home is best’ totally applies to me. I hope to enroll at a branch of PNRPU and gain employment at Uralkali after graduation, as I believe it is one of the most stable companies in the town.
