Uralkali Awards Best Employees of 2010

The management of Uralkali (LSE: URKA), one of the world’s largest potash producers, has rewarded 141 of its Best Employees in 2010.

The Best Employee is the Company’s main award and is made following the results for the past year. The candidates for the Award are those Uralkali employees who demonstrated high productivity and scrupulous and superior quality performance of their duties, without breaches of workplace discipline. The candidate for the Best Employee Award can be proposed either by senior management or, especially valuably, by his or her colleagues.

The award nominations are in four groups: Professionalism, Team work, Transfer of experience, Prospects. The best employees are awarded with a certificate of honor and a commemorative token.

The 2010 Best Employees participated in a game called “Aerobatics” on the site of the Berezniki’s former airport. Following the game the award ceremony took place where the company management congratulated the best employees. The final part of the festivities was a banquet with a concert and dancing.

Vladislav Baumgertner, Uralkali CEO, said:

You cannot create a global potash market leader without a team of professionals. We are focused on specialists who work whole heartedly, constantly developing their skills, successfully solving challenging tasks and sharing team values. The corporate Best Employee of the Year award means we can find and reward such employees.
