Children of Uralkali Employees Spend Their Holidays at Summer Camps

Uralkali has once again arranged summer holidays for the children of Company employees. Those between the ages of four and 12 will rest and relax at a health resort and the "Uralskie Samozvety" summer camp.

Together with their parents, pre-school children between the ages of four and seven visit the Company’s health resort as part of the "Family Vacation" programme. During their time at the resort, the children can strengthen their immune system, and will receive treatments for diseases of the central nervous system and the musculoskeletal system, as well as for allergies. Parents also have the opportunity to improve their health; recover from weariness, stress and a lack of sleep; and normalise their blood pressure. During the summer health campaign, a pediatrician and two supervising assistants are required to stay with the children while their parents receive treatments. There are board games at the health centre to keep children occupied, and a home cinema system with interactive games. "Family Vacation" sessions provide an ideal relaxation environment for both children and parents. Depending on their salaries, parents contribute between ten and 50% of the programme’s costs.

School children between the ages of seven and 12 spend their summer vacations at the "Uralskie Samozvety" summer camp. For the first time this summer, the camp welcomes children not only from Solikamsk but also from Berezniki. Children can participate in various activities including sports, dancing, music, and arts and crafts. In addition, the camp organises events ranging from swimming challenges and relay races to discos. An indoor swimming pool has been a great addition to the modern complex as visitors are able to bathe regardless of the weather. In addition, boys and girls can take advantage of an open-air stage, sports pitches, obstacle courses and playgrounds. This year, over 1,000 children will spend their summer holidays at “Uralskie Samozvety”. Parents contribute RUB 1,400 to the programme’s costs.

The improvement in health of employees' children during the summer period is one of the main elements of Uralkali’s social policy.
