Uralkali starts the construction of apartment blocks for its employees in Solikamsk

Today, a commemorative stone was laid in honor of the start of construction of residential housing in the Klestovka District in Solikamsk. The plan is to build two nine-story apartment blocks housing 175 apartments for Uralkali Group employees.

The construction technology used here will make it possible to re-configure the rooms and increase the living space of apartments, should the future apartment owners wish to do so.

The project of Uralkalis apartment blocks was inspired by a European concept of an attractive and comfortable urban environment. The facades will feature deep-red elements to symbolize sylvinite ore, and the large territory next to the building will boast recreational ports for both for adults and children, including playgrounds and sports facilities. A large parking structure will make life easier for residents, and there will also be a separate shelter for bicycles.

General contractor of the project  LLC GKM Engineering, developer  JSC Solikamsk Construction Trust (a subsidiary of PJSC Uralkali).

Dmitry Osipov, Uralkali CEO, commented:

Implementing our own housing program for our employees has long been one of Uralkalis top priorities in terms of our social policy. This project to build housing in Solikamsk was chosen by Uralkali Groups employees themselves during special presentation sessions organized by potential developers. The priority right to purchase apartments in new buildings will be granted to specialists who are in very short supply and are among the most sought-after employees of the Company.

Alexey Yashnikov, Uralkali Director for Capital Construction, commented:

We are starting comprehensive development in Solikamsk, which means that not only are we going to build apartment blocks but also landscape the adjacent territories. We want to make urban living as pleasant and desirable as possible. Our goal is to build apartment blocks of the highest quality  with a premium on safety  which will be affordable for local residents.

Alexey Fedotov, Head of Solikamsk, commented:

We welcome Uralkalis plans to build new comfortable housing for its employees and local residents. Uralkali is not just going to stop at building apartment blocks. In addition, they are going to landscape the adjacent territories at an unprecedented level of quality for Solikamsk. I am certain that this project will serve as a sterling example for other developers in our city.
