VI International 'Russian Grain' Conference

Uralkali sponsored the VI International Conference 'Russian Grain', which was held in Krasnodar on November 26, 2013. It was attended by about 200 representatives from the UAE, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other countries.

In the Conference frameworks there was a discussion of such sensitive issues as government support and regulation of agroindustrial sector, price behaviour and state of the grain and oilseeds markets, main areas of technological modernization and methods of implementation of innovations in the process of agricultural production

Plenary Session of the International Conference Russian Grain and International Agrarian Congress YUGAGRO was opened by Deputy Governor of the Krasnodar region, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Krasnodar region Sergey Garkusha. He told the participants about the success of the domestic agricultural sector, citing high levels of productivity in the Kuban region this year, and expressed the belief that agribusiness can be efficient and profitable not only in a particular region, but also throughout the country.

In the session frameworks the reports were presented by Deputy Chairman of Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar region, President of Agroindustrial Union of the Kuban region Evgeny Gromyko and Deputy Head of Science-technological Policy and Education Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Pavel Burak. They highlighted the problems of state regulation of the grain industry and presented prospects for the Ministry of Agriculture for the season.

The session was summed up by Vice President of the Russian Grain Union Alexander Korbut, who demonstrated in his report challenges and tasks set by the State Program for Agriculture Development 2013-2020.

Besides the theoretical discussion program, the participants were also given an opportunity to discuss business issues in the exhibition section. Uralkali also presented its stand for negotiations on the supply of fertilizers in the Russian market in 2014. Smoking in mines is prohibited.
Work at heights without wearing a safety harness is prohibited.
Work in electrical installations under voltage is prohibited.
It is forbidden to perform work and stay in the bottomhole zone during the operation of the mining machine.
Loading and unloading operations when people are in the danger zone are prohibited.
Working in underground mines with unsecured and/or unassembled roofing is prohibited.
It is forbidden to carry out repairs and maintenance of conveyors without disconnecting from energy sources, use of conveyors for transfer of people and goods (materials and/or equipment), crossing (either above or under) operating conveyors by employees are not allowed.
It is forbidden to carry out welding and flame work in underground mines and mine buildings without the necessary safety measures preventing fire.
