Absence of fatalities, incidents, accidents and occupational diseases is one of the most important tasks of the Company. We recognise our responsibility not only to employees but also to their families and society as a whole.

Therefore, we strive to create the most comfortable and favourable working conditions. However, achieving a zero accident rate is only possible if each worker adheres to safety rules.



Safety is one of the key elements of our Code of Corporate Culture:

Safety is an unconditional value that must be an integral part of any action or decision. We understand that careless, thoughtless and irresponsible actions may have tragic implications not only for ourselves and our colleagues, but also for our families and friends. No achievement or economic benefit can justify loss of life or damage to a persons health.

  • Absence of industrial accidents
  • Prevention and reduction of occupational diseases amongst employee

  • The rate of accidents at work with temporary disability (LTIFR) in the Group of Companies in 2017 is 0.11%
  • The number of incidents increased from 1 in 2016 to 4 in 2017
  • Accidents at production sites of PJSC Uralkali in 2017 were not allowed
  • 17 013 employees were trained and certified in the field of labor protection, industrial safety, civil defense and emergency prevention and fire safety
  • Sanitary and hygienic certification of carcinogenic dangerous products was carried out. All employees of the Group of Companies have been tested for knowledge of the Cardinal Rules All the employees of the Group of Companies have been tested for knowledge of the Cardinal Rules
  • The Strategic Plan for the Examination of Industrial Safety of Technical Devices, Buildings and Structures of Hazardous Production Facilities has been developed and approved

OJSC "Uralkali" (OJSC "Uralkali", Company,) is one of the world’s leading potash producers. Our aim is to produce potash fertilizers to satisfy the worldwide demand for the high-quality food; we develop potash deposits in an efficient and responsible manner in order to ensure continuous development of the Company.

OJSC “Uralkali” aims to be a leader in every aspect of its operations.

Health, safety and environment are key priorities for us and serve as a framework for every action and decision we make, irrespective of the type of activity.

We fully realise that no achievement or economic benefit may justify death of people or damage to human health and the environment of our planet. Each and every employee of OJSC Uralkali has the right to be provided with safe and comfortable conditions of labour. With that, the Company expects that every employee will strictly abide by safety regulations and will demonstrate responsible attitude towards own and fellow colleagues life and health. Only through maintaining a mutually responsible behaviour in health, safety and environment will we be able to achieve a greater level of development for our business.

Our goals are very simple and clear:

  • Zero accidents;
  • Zero industrial emergencies;
  • Reduction of environmental impact.
